Dear Valued Broker,

You have asked and we have listened. IUM has reviewed the Fast Track non-motor claims process and we have some exciting changes to the format and the limits:

  • the claim should not consist of more than 5 items and/or exceed R35 000 as a total for the claim;
  • no claim form is required; however, the relevant information must be provided via email and there must be an email trail indicating the insured reporting or advising on the matter.
 The following information should be on the e-mail:
Policy Number:
Contact Details:
Date of loss:
Describe fully how loss / damage occurred:
Description of property including make, model and serial and or IMEI number:
Police details including station name and case number if item is stolen:
The following documents must be attached to the mail to ensure that the claim is processed within 24 hours:
  • Proof of ownership ie: purchase invoices, receipts of contract information;
  • If your cell phone has been stolen or lost we require the blacklisting including the IMEI and ITC listing numbers;
  • If your cell phone has been damaged, our preferred supplier will arrange collection of cell phone and supply us with a damage report and quote – clients should not source their own damage report. The 24-hour processing will only start once our supplier has possession of the item;
  • If the item has been stolen from a vehicle or premises then we will require proof of forced entry including 5 (Five) photos of damage to the vehicle prior to repairs or entry into the premises;
  • Quote for replacement of a cell phone;
  • If the cell phone has already been replaced then we will require purchase invoice of a new replacement.
If you feel unsure of the above process please do not hesitate to contact us
